OUR MISSION

The Fauxly Project is an interactive, creative research initiative that seeks to explore alternative practices; to broaden accessibility points for all forms of creative expression.

HOW IT BEGAN

Founded by songwriter and creative researcher Lore Amore, The Fauxly Project's initiatives are centred around the evolution of traditional creative practices.

With a focus on curiosity-led play and resourcefulness at the heart, each of the project's phases seeks to broaden accessibility points for creative expression.

With a background of 15 years in media and audience insight and an interest in the role that neurodivergent traits can play within learning and the implementation of creative practices, the project began initially as a personal journey.

In 2023, after two decades of songwiting and having trialled traditional production techniques, Lore Amore had yet to discover an approach that aligned with her creative methods.

In June, committed to finding an alternative way to record and release her first album, she left her job and took a recording device and travel guitar to Glastonbury festival.

THE FAUXLY GENRE

Inspired by the experience and the positive responses received towards live recordings, but not wholly satisfied with the output of the experiment, the artist took the learnings and developed The Fauxly genre: A production approach, where songs are recorded entirely live, using the natural ambiance of each individual location to add to the overall composition.

In 2024, the artist released her debut album In Hopeful Abandon Vol. 1. which takes listeners through a soundscape of 12 different locations, each curated for the unique ambiance that they contributed to the final recordings.
